“Since joining CF (in a meaningful way – as in going on a regular basis, like 4x per week) about 12 weeks ago – I have noticed a huge change in my muscle tone, energy levels, and motivation. I get really excited to check out the WOD each day – and see what I’ll be up against after work! Cross fit has boosted my self-confidence, my strength, my cardio, and my body image. Although my weight has not changed much… I am now on the last notch on my belt (and it’s too big on me)- and I was using the second and third last notches before! I feel strong and fit now, and it just keeps getting better! I am very proud to be a CrossFit member!”

“Well I have to say how impressed I am with the CrossFit program. I joined only 7 weeks ago and can’t believe what my body is capable of doing. I went to another gym for 1 1/2 years and never really felt like I was getting anywhere, after such a short period of time at CrossFit I really feel like I’m actually getting fit.
I have to say thanks to John who has been with me since day one…when I say I can’t do something he pushes me…and he puts up with my bitchiness…lol

"I first joined CrossFit Orillia on February 16 2008. When I started I weighed 280lbs. , had a body fat percentage of 38% (medically considered obese) and so completely out of shape i could barely bend over to tie my shoes. After one year at Crossfit, I have been transformed into an athlete. Although that is quite a bold statement it is true. If you’ve ever been to or participated in a Crossfit class you will understand. Today, January 10 2009, I weigh 225 lbs, my body fat percentage is now a healthy 18 % and I have lost more than 12 inches from my midsection and am now wearing size 36 waist pants for the first time since high school. Crossfit is the complete package, an incredible daily work out and nutrition plan. Here in Orillia we have the added benefit of an incredibly dedicated trainer, who sincerely cares about his clients health, and takes as much, if not more pride in our achievements than we do. James Gordon and CrossFit Orillia there are not enough words to properly thank you!"

"On March 1, 2008 I was introduced by a co-worker to CrossFit. I was a diabetic and overweight, I thought it would be a good idea to try it. The first day I could not complete the work out which was 7- 45 lbs. dead lift, 7 box steps and 7- 8 lbs. wall ball, 7 times each.
I think I only completed 2 full rounds, and felt like I was going to have a heart attack. 2 days later I went back thinking James would not want to see me after such a poor performance, but to my surprise he welcomed me and help me with a zone meal plan which improved my over all performance.
4 weeks later I completed the original work out in under 10min. and added 20 lbs. to the 45 lb. bar. With the help and support of James and everyone at CrossFit, I lost over 50 lbs, my blood sugar levels are down in the normal range and I was taken off one of the pills that I was taking for cholesterol.
Today I have an 8min. Fran and I am hoping to get it down under 5 min by the summer. On January 24th, I will be going to Toronto to complete a CrossFit level 1 cert . I then will bring what I learned there back to help everyone else in the class."

James, we just want to tell you that you and the Orillia crew are awesome! Thank you so much for your encouragemnet and support during the Ontario CrossFit Challenge and the video looks awesome. I do have to admit that the time for the first event was 7:15 though. It is great to be able to work together with such a talented and helpful bunch. We truly appreciate all of your help with getting our affiliation up and running. You have been very reliable and more than willing to lend any form of help. Thank you for inspiring us and we look forward to accomplishing many great feats together.
